Lac La Biche County has incredible potential, from our vibrant local businesses to our rich natural assets and strategic location. As Mayor, I’ll focus on building a resilient, competitive economy that stands strong on its own merits and earns recognition across Alberta and beyond.

That means supporting and empowering our local businesses, attracting responsible investment, championing taxation rates that promote business and creating new job opportunities for residents. I believe our Economic Development team plays a vital role in this vision. That’s why I’ll champion the addition of a dedicated Business Retention Officer, someone focused entirely on helping local entrepreneurs thrive, solving problems before they grow, and ensuring our businesses feel supported at every step.

Tourism will also be a key pillar of our economic strategy. We’ll develop and continue to deliver a bold, well-defined plan that highlights everything Lac La Biche County has to offer, from outdoor recreation and cultural experiences to regional and national events that bring people here and keep them coming back. We’ve got that lakeside hospitality, and it’s time to put it to work. With the right leadership, my leadership, we can turn tourism into a reliable, year-round economic driver.
