Growing a Stronger, More Connected Community

Community development is about more than just infrastructure. It’s about people, families, and the spaces that help us thrive. As Mayor, I’ll focus on building a Lac La Biche County where everyone feels supported, included, and proud to call home.

That starts with diverse and thoughtful housing options. Whether it’s encouraging developers to build new rental properties, supporting aging-in-place initiatives, or exploring innovative ideas like intergenerational housing or “granny villages,” we need to meet the evolving needs of our residents, from young families to seniors.

Our future also depends on our youth. I’ll establish a Mayor’s Youth Council to ensure young voices have a seat at the table and a role in shaping the community they’re growing up in. Their insight and energy are vital as we plan for what’s ahead.

Healthcare is a foundation of strong communities. I’ve been proud to support physician recruitment efforts in the past, and as Mayor, I’ll continue to work closely with our regional partners to attract and retain healthcare professionals. That includes creating a welcoming, connected experience for new providers and their families from the moment they arrive.

Finally, we’ll strengthen the heart of our community by lobbying for wrap-around services and supporting programming that brings people together, from family services and wellness initiatives to events that celebrate our cultural diversity. Healthy families and strong relationships are what turn a place into a community.

Let’s build a Lac La Biche County that grows with purpose. Where everyone belongs, and where community connection is just as important as community expansion.
